by Erika W. Smith, April 1, link at www.refinery29.com. A very good post. In particular, the two points about asking the right questions are its the strongest points: they underscore that tarot is often as much about psychology as divination. All the symbols and underlying meanings in Waite et al don’t matter if the question is blurry.
The author talked to two tarot readers to learn what reading tarot can tell us about love. As one of the readers stated, “it’s more useful to make it about you and the things you can control.” Instead of asking, When am I going to meet the love of my life? she suggests asking, “what can I do to open myself up to the possibility of a relationship?” A second reader stated “I think it’s so much more helpful when we use it as a tool for self-reflection.”
